Camelia Costea is a lawyer, member of the Chamber of Lawyers Cluj, Romania. She is active in both Romania with her own lawyers' office from Cluj-Napoca, and Switzerland in the lawyers' office “Martin Rechtsanwälte” from Winterthur.
Her specialities focus on criminal law (business crime, youth, sexual crimes), family law and immigration law.
Before her activity as a lawyer she was for 10 years public prosecutor in Cluj, Romania. As public prosecutor she was awarded a "Professional merits" diplom by the president of the state. She was also coordinating at the local "Artemis Association Women Against Violence" (member of WAVE Europe) activities promoting womens' and childrens' rights against sexual abuse and exploitation.
She graduated the Law Faculty of the "Babes Bolyai" University of Cluj, Romania. She also followed many extension courses over the years with different themes - sexual and children abuse, violence, financial transactions and money laundering, criminalistics and criminal law. She published articles discussing sexual crimes and also corruption in different magazines.
