  • Conference : Regulation of Professional Services - 28 October 2003
    On 28 October 2003, the Competition Directorate General of the European Commission will hold a Conference on the "Regulation of Professional Services" in the European Union. The event will provide an opportunity for business, consumers and the professions to discuss the need for and effects of professional rules that impact on competition. Interested parties are invited to return the conference application form by a deadline of Friday 19 September.

  • 1st Annual Conference on EU Law
    The Academy of European Law and the Institute of European Studies are organising the »First Annual Conference on EU Law« in Slovenia, that will be held in November 2003 at the conference centre of the Hotel HTC Larix in Kranjska gora. Other partners are the European young Lawyers' Association (SYLA) and the Geneva club of lawyers.

  • A Seminar on EU Food Law
    "EU Food Law: What's in, What's out, What's in a name?"
    is organised by the European Institute of Public Administration in Luxembourg, 26-27 January 2004.
    The Commission's White Paper on Food Safety of 12 January 2000 and Regulation No 178/2002 of the European Parliament and the Council of 28 January 2002 establishing the European Food Safety Authority and a new framework for EU food law are proof of the importance of this new legislative area.This seminar will focus on the main principles and components of this new legal body of law established by the Regulation and other matters of relevance such as food labelling, GMOs, novel foods, and EU food law and international standards.
